Asta Egede Andreasen

Asta is a law student pursuing her MSc in Law at the University of Copenhagen. She has a particular interest in EU energy and climate change law and will be writing her master’s thesis in this field in the autumn of 2026. More specifically, her thesis will examine biomass as a renewable energy source under the EU legislative framework for energy.

Asta has previous experience in EU energy law and governance from CONCITO, where she focused on the Governance Regulation and the role of the national energy and climate plans (NECPs) in achieving the EU’s climate and energy objectives.

She is currently working at Nature’s Legal Aid (Naturens Retshjælp), where she works on a range of cases relating to climate change, environmental and energy law.
