Emilie Jane Coutin

My project will identify the current targets for mobilisation of climate finance as set by the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Copenhagen 2009, Paris 2015 and Glasgow 2022. The central question of the thesis is to examine whether and to what extent the EU has implemented measures capable of achieving these goals. The focus will in particular be on whether the EU's Taxonomy Regulation, which entered into force in January 2022 and which implements a taxonomy on sustainable activities, can contribute to the achievement of the climate finance targets.
