Baine Kerr is a PhD Candidate at Utrecht University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, United States, as well as a juris doctor from UCLA School of Law, Los Angeles, California, United States.
He also obtained an LL.M degree in Public International Law (cum laude) from Utrecht University.
His PhD project, conducted under the supervision of Prof. Seline Trevisanut and Dr. Natalie Dobson, deals with climate pollution caused by international shipping, and focuses on the legal duties to prevent and control it under international law.
