María Carro Pitarch

María Carro Pitarch is a PhD Candidate at the International Law Department at the University of Valencia (Spain) and Lecturer in EU Law. 
She is the holder of a Jean Monnet Module focused on the “Global environmental challenges for the European Union: the fight against climate change and the protection of biodiversity” (ENVEU project). Her PhD research deals with the international legal regime of marine genetic resources in areas beyond national jurisdiction. María’s primary research interests lie in the broad fields of EU Law, Law of the Sea and International Environmental Law.
