Ignacio Herrera Anchustegui

Ignacio Herrera Anchustegui is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bergen. He is member of the Bergen Center for Competition Law & Economics (BECCLE) and Bergen Offshore Wind Centre (BOW), and currently leads the Research group for Natural Resource Law, Environmental Law and Development Law. His research revolves around the regulation of energy markets, especially offshore wind electricity and new energy technologies. He is also an expert of public procurement law.

While at CILG, he is hosting a lunch seminar on the 23^rd of February 2022 on Decommissioning of Offshore Energy Structures and Sustainability. At the seminar, Ignacio is discussing central concepts in decommissioning and comparing the rules for oil and gas installations and wind turbines, to determine any divergences between the industries.
