Daniel C. Esty

Visiting Stay: March – June 2022

Dan C. Esty is the Hillhouse Professor at Yale University’s Environment and Law Schools and Yale School of Management. He serves as director of the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy and co-director of the Yale Initiative on Sustainable Finance. His research mostly revolves around  the themes of environmental protection, regulatory reform, energy policy, and sustainability. Professor Esty also worked as Commissioner of Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, where he launched Connecticut’s first-in-the-nation Green Bank and the “LEAN” restructuring of Connecticut’s environmental permitting programmes.
