From the Law of Geography to the Geography of Law: Subsequent Geographical Changes Due to Sea-Level Rise in Maritime Delimitation

CLIMA Lunch Seminar with Daniela Martins.

The seminar examines how sea-level rise challenges maritime delimitation by altering the coastal geography from which maritime entitlements are measured. Drawing on State practice, international jurisprudence and the work of the International Law Commission, it considers how the law can balance geographical change with the need for stability and protect States particularly vulnerable to climate change.
