From Competition to Competitiveness in European Energy & Industrial Policy
CLIMA lunch seminar with Marianna Hu, European University Institute.

Abstract
The EU's push for climate neutrality and a rapid energy transition is reshaping our industrial policy. This responds to both internal pressures, but more so to external threats and a sense of European economic and technological decline. This seminar discusses whether and how competition (and competition law) is being refocused as competitiveness by EU policy and regulatory initiatives, using the energy sector as its spearhead.
