The Rise of Just Energy Transition Litigation in Europe: Limits and Trends

Lunch seminar

CLIMA Lunch Seminar with Emanuela Rassu.

Abstract

This seminar aims to examine the recent development of just energy transition litigation across Europe and its constitutional implications. It explores how courts are increasingly called upon to assess the fairness and legality of national energy transition measures, addressing issues such as social justice, intergenerational equity, and the balance between climate goals and fundamental rights. The discussion highlights how these cases are reshaping the constitutional landscape of climate governance in Europe.
