Decarbonizing the U.S. Electric Power Sector - Legal Strategies and Current Issues
CLIMA Lunch Seminar with Adam Orford.
Abstract
Electric power system decarbonization is the foundation of all realistic U.S. climate response strategies. Despite a complex and fragmented permitting environment, local, national, and business opposition, and U.S. disregard for its international climate responsibilities, significant progress has been made. However, The Trump Administration has put this progress under significant duress. This talk will review U.S. electric power system decarbonization efforts in the Trump 2.0 era.
