Dr Justine Bendel is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at the University of Copenhagen and a lecturer at the University of Exeter since 2020 (on leave). Her project entitled INTERFOR focuses on the implementation of international and regional law protecting forests. 

She holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, obtained in 2017, as well as a Master and a Bachelor in Laws from the University of Geneva. She also worked as a research intern at the UN Office of Legal Affairs, Codification Division and at the environmental NGO ClientEarth.
