Lunch Seminar with Alessandro Monti

Alessandro Monti (double-degree PhD Candidate at University of Innsbruck and University of Padua) is conducting a visiting research stay at the Centre for International Law, Conflict and Crisis (CILCC).

As part of his stay at our faculty, Alessandro will present his research on “Renewable Energy in International Law and the Principle of Mutual Supportiveness” over lunch (bring your own) on Wednesday 4 March 2020 (12:00 – 13:00) at meeting room 6B-4-04.

Alessandro’s PhD project addresses the promotion of renewable energy in the interaction between the climate and trade regimes. Moving from the theoretical study of the principle of mutual supportiveness as a tool of law-interpretation and law-making, the project analyzes a number of issue areas in which renewable energy policy intersects with trade rules. On this basis, Alessandro’s thesis aims to shed light on challenges and opportunities for the trade regime to support the achievement of climate objectives.

Everyone is welcome to attend, no registration needed!
