Climate Breakfast Seminar Series: Climate Change and Disaster Displacement: the Role of Human Rights - Dr. Matthew Scott

The Centre for International Law, Conflict and Crisis (CILCC), the Copenhagen Center for Disaster Research (COPE) of the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen, and the student association Casus Clima are happy to announce the Third Climate Breakfast Seminar by Dr. Matthew Scott, Head of People on the Move Thematic Area, Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.

The seminar will address Dr Matthew Scott’s work on internal disaster displacement and the integration of human rights into disaster risk reduction initiatives. Drawing from the experience of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law in Asia and the Pacific on the topic, the seminar will address the role of human rights in dealing with climate change impacts.

The Climate Breakfast Seminar Series was launched in June 2019 as a platform to provide expert insights on crucial contemporary climate change issues.
