Financing Loss and Damage from Climate Change in Small Island Developing States

Melanie Pill is a PhD scholar from the Fenner School of Environment and Society at the Australian National University. She holds an Honours degree in Economics and English Studies from the University of Wuppertal, Germany and a Masters degree in Environmental Management and Development from Crawford School at the Australian National University. She was awarded the Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship to pursue her Doctorate at the Fenner School of Environment and Society.

Melanie’s PhD project looks at financing loss and damage from climate change in Small Island Developing States under the supervision of Associate Professor Jamie Pittock, Dr Mark Howden, Dr Koko Warner and Professor Frank Jotzo (adviser).
