Energy Transition for a Low-Carbon Society
The Transatlantic University Collaboration in Climate Change & Energy Law (TUCCCEL) is pleased to announce the First Conference of the Transatlantic University Collaboration for Climate and Energy Law: Energy Transition for a Low-carbon Society, which takes place on the 24th of April at the Faculty of Law of the University of Copenhagen.
The conference delves into the legal and policy frameworks for a low-carbon society in Denmark. This includes the role of renewable energy as a crucial element to combat climate change and endure sustainability. The conference will provide a forum to discuss key aspects of renewable energy, such as the regulation of wind energy, investments in renewables, green transitions in power production. The conference delves also into the role of energy efficiency and the science-policy dialogues to foster climate goals in Denmark, in the EU context of achieving climate neutrality.

TUCCCEL is a partnership between the University of Copenhagen Faculty of Law, the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, the University of Oslo Faculty of Law, and the European Union Center of Excellence (CEUCE) at the University of Colorado.
TUCCCEL has developed a pilot and innovative study program in international climate and energy law and that has received a three-year external grant from the Jean Monnet Programme of the European Union.
This conference is part of the study program of TUCCCEL, where the 2019 TUCCCEL Best Student Paper will be awarded.
