International trade and investment law

CEVIA conducts research on international trade and investment law with a focus on public private interplay and liability aspects.

The research within trade law focuses on law and policy aspects in relation to the environment, animal welfare, agriculture, local content and SOEs. Research topics dealt with in relation to international investment law cover investment protection and regulatory interferences, interpretation of investment treaties, integration of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility in investment protection treaties and long-term contracts as well as investor-state dispute settlement.
