CEVIA researcher part of winning proposal in MIT Contest

Beatriz Martinez Romera CEVIA researcher Beatriz Martinez Romera is part of an international team of economists and lawyers that have won the Judges Choice and the Popular Choice Awards of the MIT Centre for Collective Intelligence’s Climate CoLab Climate Transportation Policies Contest with a proposal for An economically and legally viable mechanism for internalizing maritime emissions. The proposal is based on a working paper, published in the Rotterdam Institute of Law and Economics (RILE) Working Paper Series No. 2014/06. , 2014.

As part of the prize, the team will be presenting their proposal at the MIT’s Crowds & Climate Conference next month, which this year will be run in collaboration with the MIT SOLVE Conference in Boston, Massachusetts.
