The International Law of the Sea
In April 2012, the new book entitled ‘The International Law of the Sea’ was published from Cambridge University Press. This is a comprehensive textbook on the international law of the sea.
As sound marine environment provides the foundation for all life, rules of international law governing the oceans are increasingly important in the international community. Thus, this book explores all the key issues from the legal regimes governing the different jurisdictional zones, to the protection of the marine environment and conservation of marine living resources, including biological diversity. Overall it will provide readers with a systematic overview of the law of the sea as an inseparable part of public international law.
