CEVIA faculty a part of sustainable project with George Washington University in D.C.

Sustainable collaborative at George Washington University is a leading sustainable project among the US universities. It provides a strategic home for sustainable initiatives at

George Washington University that are implemented in partnership with stakeholders across the GW in order to engage the world by exploring the important issues of governance for sustainability with a vision to create resource systems that are healthy and thriving for all.

GW University has initiated a multidisciplinary international project analyzing the policies and activities of capital cities across the world and their contributions towards sustainability. Well renowned sustainable researches from diverse fields, including architecture, engineering, social science as well as law became part of this project.

Assistant Professor Marta Andrecka and Post.doc researcher Alexandra Horváthová, both carrying out research on CSR and sustainability at CEVIA, became part of this group. Their contribution focuses on how Copenhagen uses procurement as a tool for implementing its policies and partnerships with private partners in enhancing sustainability and innovation in Copenhagen and Denmark in large.
