IT facilities available to students

There are about 70 computers available to students at the Law Students' House and the Library

  • Every computer is equipped with Microsoft Office XP, Windows 2003, Acrobat Reader, Internet Explorer.

Accessing the Faculty network / Wireless network

  • Laptops can be connected to the Faculty network via the wireless network or cables.
  • If you have problems with the wireless network, it is possible to get help every Thursday from 12 noon - 2 p.m. (ask at the Information Desk in the library).
  • Wireless - please read the instructions: setting up of wireless networks
  • Cables - bring your own or borrow one at the Information desk.

Saving documents

  • None of the computers have a hard disk, which means that only small amounts of data can be saved in My Documents and only temporarily. All saved files are deleted at night.
  • Use a USB key - every computer has a USB port.
  • Borrow a disc drive at the Information desk.

Important! Wait 30 seconds before removing your USB key or disc drive or you risk losing the document.

Copying and printing

Scanning

  • Use the photocopiers to scan documents.
  • A scanned document can be sent as a PDF file to an email address. It is not possible to save a document to a USB key or a disc drive.
  • This service is free of charge.
