Oral exam
Oral exams are either with preparation time for twenty minutes, without preparation time or based on a short synopsis (five pages) submitted by the student.
The exams are conducted in English.
Student ID-Card:remember to bring it for every exam you attend, both oral and written exams.
Oral exams take 15-20 minutes, and this is the most common form of exam at master level. The oral exams are public, but if you do not want any spectators (mostly other students), please let the examiners know in advance. The exam form for every course can be found in the course descriptions.
The number of days scheduled for each oral exam can be found in the course descriptions online. It is not possible to request special examination dates therefore you must mark your calendar with the whole examination period for each of your courses until the specific examination schedules are announced on KUnet. Find the dates for the release of the specific examination schedules in the academic calendar on http://jura.ku.dk/students/academic_calender/
External examiner
An external examiner is an impartial person who is present during the oral exam in order to assess and ensure a fair procedure. The external examiner sits beside the examiner (lecturer) and takes notes. The external examiner usually does not ask questions during the exam but is allowed to do so.
