Climate Change and the Law

The global impact of human activities caused by the emission of greenhouse gases is now widely recognized and a political consensus for action appears to be growing. The objectives of this course are to provide the students with a basic understanding of the Climate Change Convention and the Kyoto Protocol, the EC regime on climate change, the interrelation between Energy Law and the Law on Climate Change and the negotiation of a new after-Kyoto-agreement to follow 2012.
