Vacant PhD positions advertised.

Late January

Deadline for submitting PhD applications.

February/ Early March

After the deadline the Dean will pre-select PhD applications that will proceed to the assessment stage upon the recommendation of the Selection Committee (shortlist).

All applicants will be notified whether they are being passed to assessment or not.

Early March

Shortlisted applicants will be informed of the composition of the PhD assessment committee via email and PhD applications are sent to the assessment committee for evaluation.

Late April

Results of the evaluated PhD applications are sent to applicants via email.

 

Applicants provided with an eight day deadline for submitting objections to evaluations.

 

Objections regarding evaluations submitted to and processed by the PhD assessment committee.

 

On the basis of evaluations, decision made on which applicants will take part in the interview process.

May/June

Interviews conducted.

 

Decision made on which applicants will be offered a scholarship.

End June

Scholarship offers sent to selected applicants.

 

Applicants who have not been selected are informed of the Faculty's decision.

July

Deadline for sending in original grade transcripts and police report (for applicants who have been offered a PhD scholarship).

Early September

PhD students begin their PhD studies at the University of Copenhagen.
