New Visitor at iCourts - Oddný Mjöll Arnardóttir

Dr. Oddný Mjöll Arnardóttir holds law degrees from the University of Iceland and the University of Edinburgh. She is Professor of Human Rights Law at the University of Iceland and chairs the board of its Human Rights Institute.  She will be visiting iCourts from August to December 2014.

During her stay she will work on parts of her research project “Understanding the Margin of Appreciation in European Human Rights Regimes”, which is funded by the Icelandic Research Fund.  Her research looks into the nature and function of margins of appreciation as an autonomous form of international law and places the topic in the context of current developments in the European human rights architecture.
