New visitor at iCourts - Simone Benvenuti

Simone Benvenuti holds a PhD in “Theory of the State and comparative political institutions” from the same University, and has studied and conducted research in Slovenia between 2010 and 2011 and as a Marie Curie fellow at the Central European University in Hungary, between 2012 and 2014.

During his stay, he will be working and presenting part of his project on “Building the European Judicial Field. ECJ and national courts between competition, fragmentation and re-composition”. The project addresses the debate on the “constitutionalization” of the EU judicial system and the institutionalization of the European Area of Justice by adopting a socio-legal perspective. In particular, he will look at the relations established between national supreme courts and the ECJ and among national supreme courts themselves, and at the impact of such would-be European Judicial Community built through more or less formal networks.
