New Visitor at iCourts - Julie-Enni Zastrow

Julie-Enni Zastrow is a PhD candidate at the University of Potsdam, Germany. In her research she investigates the role of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in the execution of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. During her time at iCourts she will conduct further research on her thesis, notably the states’ and Committee of Ministers practice following a conviction by the ECtHR. This research will lead to suggestions of measures to improve the enforcement procedure. Julie-Enni studied law at the University of Potsdam and University Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense in a dual degree program focussing on European and international law. She holds the German First State Examination and a Master’s degree from University Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense. She was a research student assistant to Prof. Dr. Andreas Zimmermann, LL.M. at the University of Potsdam and has worked at the German Bundestag and the Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection. Her main research interests include international adjudication, international human rights law and constitutional law.
