New visitor at iCourts – Barrie Sander

Barrie Sander, a Ph.D. candidate in International Law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), Geneva, will be visiting iCourts from 15 September 2015 - 1 March 2016.

During his stay, he will be working on his doctoral research, entitled 'Doing Justice to History: The Construction of Historical Narratives within the Field of International Criminal Justice'. This project looks at how history is written by international criminal courts, including an examination of which actors and issues tend to be foregrounded and excluded, and with what consequences for the criminal responsibility of the individuals on trial.
