Prof. L. Helfer elected co-editor-in-chief of the American Journal of International Law

At iCourts we are happy to announce that Professor Laurence Helfer has been elected co-editor-in-chief, of the American Journal of International Law, together with Professor Curtis Bradley. Both have published extensively in AJIL and are long time members of the board. Helfer is a senior fellow with Duke University’s Kenan Institute for Ethics, and serves as a permanent visiting professor at the iCourts Center of Excellence for International Courts at the University of Copenhagen, which awarded him a honorary doctorate in law in 2014. He is an expert in international law and institutions, human rights, as well as international intellectual property law and policy. Together with Karen Alter, he recently co-authored the book, “Transplanting International Courts: The Law and Politics of the Andean Tribunal of Justice”.

The AJIL has been in continuous publication since 1907, and is one of the world’s leading international law journals, and is renowned for its presentation of cutting edge scholarship. The esteem of AJIL speaks volumes of the academic excellence of both Helfer and Bradley. At iCourts we congratulate both on this achievement, and we are excited to two such prominent scholars take the AJIL in to a new era.
