Grant for Urska Sadl from the Danish Council for Independent Research

Assistant Professor at iCourts Urska Sadl has received a 1.7 million kr. research grant from The Danish Council for Independent Research (Social Sciences).

Her 2 year project entitled The atlas of legal evolution: An empirical analysis of European legal development seeks to uncover the hidden paths and patterns in the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union. It develops a novel approach, integrating methods of social network analysis into legal qualitative research. This will significantly advance legal methodology and help us understand why the Court is so often criticized for its activism.
