Researcher book loans
Who may loan books?
- Permanently employed researchers and PhD students (scientific/academic staff) may loan books from Faculty of Law Library
- Part-time lecturers may use the material on-site and may photocopy material free of charge.
Loan period
- The standard loan period is one month. However, books may be kept for up to one year unless reserved by someone else.
Recalls
- If the one-month loan period is exceeded and another researcher has reserved the material, it must be returned immediately.
- All material is recalled routinely after one year to secure the library's collection. Returned material may be borrowed again immediately.
Finding books for loan
- Search the library catalogue for material that is available for loan.

Student book loans
Who may loan books?
- Law students from the University of Copenhagen, the University of Aarhus and the University of Southern Denmark, as well as students taking individual courses at the Faculty of Law may loan books. Remember to bring a valid student ID.
Home loan collection
- The home loan collection contains annotated legal texts, supplementary textbooks, dissertations and commission reports.
- The home loan collection represents a very small part of the library's complete collection. Most of the printed books and journals may only be used on-site or photocopied, see Price list .
Loan period
- 2 weeks at a time (max. 5 books at a time) - no reservations or renewals
Recalls
- The 1st recall is a reminder.
- If the 2nd recall date is exceeded, you will lose borrowing privileges for one-two semesters.
- If the book is still not returned, a letter will be sent informing you that the case has been transferred to the University's debt collection department (which will send you a bill).

Finding home loan books
Search the library catalogue for material that is available for loan.
- The home loan collection is located next to the Information desk.
- Returned books are shelved at 11 am, 3 pm and 30 minutes prior to closing.
