Butler publishes new article on Danish legal PhD education in Retfærd

Graham Butler at the Centre for Comparative and European Constitutional Studies in the Faculty of Law has published a new article entitled, ‘A new means of dissemination for doctoral research in Danish legal education’ in Retfærd (Nordic Journal of Law and Justice), Volume 39, Issue 1/152, pp. 88-95.

This article discusses the importance of research dissemination at different stages of a PhD Programme in a Danish and Nordic context, and how the first large-scale Postgraduate Law Conference in a Nordic country was instigated. It firstly contextualises the concept of a Postgraduate Law Conference, before laying out the national setting for legal PhD students in Denmark. The article then turns to looking at what future means of dissemination can be explored in legal education and the models of knowledge transfer methods that will be utilised. Building on a multifaceted contribution, it further elaborates on how fresh methods of research output will begin to become more commonplace within higher educational institutions that specialise in the researching and teaching of law into the future.
