Study Groups

Purpose and activities of the study groups

CEC has established two study groups. The study groups are meant to function as a forum for exchange of ideas and, in the long term, should also become a greenhouse for common initiatives and research ideas. In the study group one may, for instance: Inform one another on new case law, legislation and legal developments in other countries; present a draft article for comment; present a theoretical problem for discussion; put forward new ideas for common research etc. It is important, that everyone contributes to the exchange taking place in the group and that everyone feels comfortable when presenting themes in the group, just as everybody should feel that they have an opportunity to be heard in the group's discussions. The study groups are intended, first of all, as fora for the members of CEC, but external persons may be invited for a group meeting. The study groups will meet about once a month on the initiative of the coordinator, who will also be in charge of planning the theme of the meeting.
