Research
CECS' research concerning constitutional developments in Europe relates, among others, to the development in EU and the Human Rights Convention, the interplay between these supranational legal systems and national law, as well as comparative studies of constitutional developments in European countries. CECS' research concerning law and security relates, among others, to legal problems with regard to combatting terrorism, intelligence services, war and crises (including the emergency doctrine).
CECS defines and carries through new research projects and education modules, represents a forum for research exchange, and communicates its results and deliberations to external actors and the public through academic publications, conferences and seminars and debate blogs etc.

CECS' research is organised in study groups. Currently the Centre has established two study groups - one focusing on European integration, the other focusing on law and security.
