Sune will be working on his project entitled, ‘The horizontal effect of European Union law from a national Danish perspective’, supervised by the Director of CECS, Professor Helle Krunke.
The object of the project is to examine the horizontal direct effect of Union law with particular focus on the controversial question about horizontal effect of directives and general EU principles. The project will focus on two perspectives, the first being the legal certainty for individuals, and the other, the risk of liability for the Danish government in cases of non-conformity with Union law.
Also, Sune has taught many courses at the Faculty of Law for many years as an External Lecturer, with primary focus on European Constitutional Law as well as Danish Constitutional Law, and published his Master’s thesis, ‘The provisions in Danish Corporate Tax Act concerning exit taxation of businesses and compliance with the EU-law: The Freedom of Establishment as per Article 49 TFEU’ (De danske exitbeskatningsregler for selskabers forenelighed med EU-retten: herunder retten til fri etablering efter artikel 49 i TEUF) in Justitia (2012, Volume 35, Issue 6).
