    2021: Judge (ad interim), Court of Appeal for Eastern Denmark, Copenhagen (full-time work as a judge)

    2000 – 2001: Lawyer (part-time), Bech-Bruun Law Firm, Copenhagen (work included advising clients on EU-law matters)

    2000 – 2001: Head of section, Danish Ministry of Justice, Office on Constitutional Law (work included advising other Danish authorities on constitutional law and administrative law matters, advising the Danish Government in the negotiations on the Nice Treaty and representing the Danish Government in the EU Article 31 Committee on Personal Data Protection)

    1998 – 2000: Référendaire to the then President of the General Court of the European Union (work included drafting judgments and orders, assisting in the organisation of the Court’s cases and assisting the President in all aspects of the administration and organisation of the Court)

    1997 – 1998: Head of section, Danish Ministry of Justice, EU-law office (work included advising other Danish authorities in EU law matters and being member of inter alia the Government’s Red Cross Committee, acting as Danish liaison officer to the Venice Commission and representing the Danish Government in various committees under the Council of Europe)

    More than 200 publications. In recent years primarily in the field of EU external relations law and international development law. Journals, where publications have appeared, include Common Market Law Review, European Law Review, Columbia Journal of European Law, International and Comparative Law Quarterly, European Foreign Affairs Review, European Law Journal, Cambridge Review of International Affairs, Europarecht and Revue trimestrielle de droit européen

    In addition, also a regular contributor to newspapers etc.

    2011: Recipient of the Danish textbook publisher Samfundslitteratur’s Text Book Prize (the special prize) on a book project entitled "EU og udviklingslandene"
